As a gaming monitor, the LG (for the price) cannot be beaten. It is superbly sharp and fluid with a very fast response time, making all types of games appear smooth and very enjoyable.
I've had this monitor about a month a bit now. It is still performing fantastically, no dead pixels.
Great gaming monitor, can't recommend it enough, but DVI-D 120hz/ 144hz options make for poor quality text on the screen.
This has exceeded my expectations as a gaming monitor and games look amazing on it.

Great monitor, freesync is lovely and image is great once you tweak the colours a bit.
I was excited to see this monitor announced earlier in the year after seeking a display offering factory calibration, 144hz and FreeSync!
I'm really happy that I picked up this monitor and can say that I either won the monitor lottery or that LG has very good quality control, there are no dead pixels and the display is completely uniform.
This thing works great. I play HOTS and PUBG mostly these days and the screen is the perfect size for competitive gaming.
Also the Super resolution+ feature is recommended to keep off in all forums .

Colours and contrast are superb and can be easily customized via the control panel below the monitor as required
The contrast and sharpness means that text and images are exceptionally clear and the screen refresh means that prolonged use does not cause undue eyestrain.
The monitor has a sRGB colour gamut which is a near perfect 100, meaning that colour accuracy is assured for most photographic work
Turned on the PC, loaded into Windows, wow, really bright, Set that to 60 and contrast to 65. No ghosting, No clouding and more importantly, NO DEAD PIXELS! Perfect!
The colour from this monitor, once configured properly (with a profile from Digital Versus), was very good, and the brightness was perfectly acceptable.

If you're a gamer but are also interested in any kind of colour sensitive work, this monitor comes highly recommended and I guarantee that you won't be disappointed!
Colors aren't as vibrant as others are saying, but I bought this for performance and sharpness.
I am no expert on the color quality but honestly I feel like LG does better in color than Samsung.
Picture kept boing black periodically, i have asked for a refund.
Poor quality monitor, it's extremely bright, I had to put brightness at 3. The rest of the colors are quite washed out. I got a hot pixel already that's quite annoying.

The monitor has many display modes aimed at different genres (e.g., FPS, RPG, Racing, etc.)
Set-up took me 10 mins, playing with the settings. The screen displays text (Around Windows, Facebook, Word, Internet all that) very nicely, whites are white, blacks are black, darks textures in dark shadows are nice and visible.
Good monitor for the price would recommend its easy as chips to use and set up mint picture ooo and blazingly fast too

This monitor mounts easily to a vesa monitor arm. Very easy to set up with gsync and the color calibration is on point. Lots of options for different styles of use in the on screen menu.
First when I tried adjusting the height when I was assembling the monitor I had no clue but once you get it to stand it is really straight forward.

I've yet to try out the headphone port and USB 3 ports along the left hand side. Overall, I'm very pleased (so far) with this monitor.
I was still getting used to computer peripherals and what all the specs meant, so immediately connected it up with a HDMI cable and went on a gaming rampage. I thought it was great! I was so happy.
Found out that you need a DVI cable to be able to display a higher refresh rate, so I had a wee look for the DVI cable I knew I had somewhere.
Monitor doubles up as a HDTV and gaming monitor. Reckon I've got the best of both worlds, in so far as that's possible to combine two different outputs.
