What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Canon EOS M Compact System Camera
  • Good low-light performance, and compact size.
  • The camera's compact build is very handy.
  • It's compact body. Great camera.
  • It is compact enough to carry around with me.
  • Nice and compact. Easy to carry.
Canon EOS R Full-frame system camera
  • Portability - size, weight and ergonomics - are excellent. Had to familiarize a little to the new button layout and slightly modify the grip, but overall feeling and maneuverability really great.
  • The portability and small size is another attractive quality. It's small but feels good in the hands.
  • The EOS R camera operates flawlessly, the RF lenses are equally brilliant. Overall lighter weight.
  • I like the light weight. It shoots pretty true to what I would expect out of a 30Mp mirrorless full frame camera.
  • The lens makes the camera heavier, so it’s difficult to hold it for half an hour in your hands.

What customers say about "Imaging"
Canon EOS M Compact System Camera
  • It takes great night photos, awesome day photos.
  • The image quality is really impressive.
  • The JPEG processing is solid, the RAW photos surpass my K-x easily.
  • Image quality is far superior to my existing point-and-shoots.
  • The image quality is great and the compatibility with my other Canon lenses is awesome!
Canon EOS R Full-frame system camera
  • I’ve only had it for a couple of days, but I’m really liking this camera. The kit zoom is great - better than the EF 24-105 L. Adapted Canon glass works perfectly.
  • Continuous shooting speed - the R is faster and more accurate. 7D Mark II goes up to 10 fps, I very rarely go that fast, even for sports, because I don't want to be culling through so many images.
  • Images are beautiful with very good performance in low light, high ISO, with very usable images up to 8000 ISO even though I rarely go over 6800 ISO.
  • Low light performance is excellent. Shooting the above mentioned owl at ISO 12,800 resulted in no visible noise whatsoever.
  • Eye AF doesn't work in continuous mode - there's a rumored firmware update to add this and it's included in the lower end EOS RP.

What customers say about "Display"
Canon EOS M Compact System Camera
  • The screen is easily viewable even in direct sunlight.
  • Very happy with this little thing. Great screen.
  • Touch screen works great.
  • The touch screen can be annoying when you accidentally activate the touch shutter option.
  • There is no optical viewfinder.
Canon EOS R Full-frame system camera
  • The display is flexible and bright - I shoot fine art photos so this came in handy for tripod timer shots.
  • Just use the touch screen with your thumb - took a little while to get used to but works great.
  • Touch screen controls are super fast - no lag. Jpegs sooc look great. I haven't had time to mess with the Raw files in Lightroom, so not sure about dynamic range, etc.
  • The lcd screen and viewfinder are gorgeous. I don't know if it's my eyes and I haven't seen it in any reviews, but I feel the image in the evf seems brighter than the image in the big lcd screen.
  • The touch and drag autofocus can be more responsive, meaning when I touch the screen while looking through the viewfinder the to change the focus point.

What customers say about "Features"
Canon EOS M Compact System Camera
  • The focus sure works fine and quick enough for me.
  • The image quality is impressive for such a small camera.
  • It feels solid - has just enough weight to it and doesn't feel cheap.
  • Design is slick, simple design.
  • Super compact. Great IQ from the kit lens. Excellent build quality and feel.
Canon EOS R Full-frame system camera
  • The FV mode is probably my favorite new feature. It gives you everything: aperture priority, shutter priority, exposure compensation, ISO control, and full manual.
  • The silent shooting mode from the EOS R, this makes for a great combo doing video work and/or for taking photographs in places where you do not want sounds coming from your camera.
  • I also set the multi function touch bar as my white balance control. So I can either tap left or tap right to change the white balance or I can swipe the bar for the same effect.
  • One thing I don’t like - the mode dial. Switching back and forth between photo and video is cumbersome. I’m getting used to it, but it’s just not a good way to switch.
  • The R has silent shutter. Works up to 1/8000s. Not as good as the Fujis though that can go up to 1/32000th.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
Canon EOS M Compact System Camera
  • Camera uses a SD slot, shoots RAW or JPEG.
  • I love that there is a microphone input.
  • Great connectivity options.
  • No WiFi or GPS built in.
  • There are no WiFi or gps built-in to the camera.
Canon EOS R Full-frame system camera
  • Had some initial troubles configuring bluetooth connectivity to enable GPS, but all sorted out. I consider GPS coordinates to be an integral part of a photo experience.
  • A surprise - the USB C is great! If you have a USB C charger or power pack with PD, it will charge the camera. Same goes for a Macbook Pro power brick.
  • The camera performs better than my 6D MK II, and the one card slot is not an issue if you use the auto-download feature on camera connect.
  • Convenient access to photos over built-in WiFi.
  • There is always a break in the connection of bluetooth when I try to transfer photos.
