Excellent high capacity and rugged hard drive. I use three of these at work to provide off-site storage of our server.
Excellent construction, rugged and portable. Storage capacity and usb-c is a plus.
This was a replacement for a similar, smaller capacity and much older LaCie Rugged.

The good side, and the reason I bought this hard drive, was the storage capacity.
Lots of capacity for traveling and photographing, Bought two for travel back up.

As good as first one but faster, higher capacity and smaller. Really loved it
Great storage device due to size and large capacity. Has been buggy from the beginning and failed completely after less than a year.

Nice to see a drive of this size that doesn't need a separate power supply.
Good size. Not as blisteringly fast as the GDrive externals. But it is not an SSD so not a fair comparison. Good for travel.
Quite bulky compared to some drives of this type, but quiet in operation.
This one is smaller in size which is great. So far, very fast and reliable
So handy for location back ups on set, reassuring that they are so rugged. The USB3 is really fast too.

Seems sturdy with the orange rubber protection.
As the bumper doubles the thickness, make sure you have the spare storage capacity in your travel bag.
Really like the size and design of this unit. Works flawlessly with my laptop and IMAC.
Nice size and disant write speed. Feels robust
It works fast enough to put files in it. And I like the color and size too.

It's just effectively a lacie hard drive with a gel case- once you take the gel case off it looks the same as any other drive. But it's a nice feature just in case it's dropped.
Also handy feature is that it's non-slip due to rubber rim. Handy.
I just used Mac OS disc utility to format this in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and got rid of all the stuff that came with it.
First, I tried to install the Security feature they promised, and when I hit the link they ask, it took me to the Seagate website!??!! Then, after the first backup, did not work anymore.
The title states Thunderbolt 3 but it's not! Thunderbolt 3 is over a USB-C connection. This device has the old thunderbolt connection

Works like a charm on a MacBook Pro touch bar. Decent speed. Good build and compatible with my thunderbolt 3 cables
Really slow in Lightroom - even with USB-C
Instructions lacking (Non provided outside warranted information and labeling on box)
Item does not work with my 2017 MacBook Pro. Old Thuderbolt connections not, the newest version
