PreSonus Eris E5 Active Monitor Loudspeaker
  • I'm very glad I did. Firstly they are superbly built, nothing in their construction or controls says 'budget'.
  • A solid cabinet with a nice finish and a very good selection of options on the back, including 1/4 inch, XLR and RCA connections, as well as a volume control to balance the sound left to right.
  • These are my first studio monitors. I couldn't believe my ears when I fired them up. I am impressed by the build quality and sound they produce.
  • They have a really nice quality look and feel to them. The sound is excellent (I own other powered monitors too).
  • These Studio Monitor speakers are very well built and for the price they may very well be a tremendous value for the home studio enthusiast or professional alike.

  • The build quality is excellent. These baby's are heavy and feel great just taking them out of the box.
  • They are nice and small so they don't take up a lot of space on my already-cramped workstation; they are built solidly; and they sound great.
  • The speakers are great built quiality, has everything you need to connect your computer.
  • Either way they look great, they are built well and they sound great for the price.
  • They have a really strong built, great sound, independent bass and high control, balanced jack 1/4 input, etc.

PreSonus Eris E5 Active Monitor Loudspeaker
  • Great sounding for the price, perfect for very-close near-field monitoring. Even the low end is respectable. As good as some that are twice the price.
  • Perfectly flat speakers, highly recommend these for music lovers and anyone else looking to do studio work.
  • They can go very loud but perhaps more importantly they give a good full rendition at lower volumes so work can be done without annoying family and neighbors.
  • The resulting bass is tight and tuneful, without a hint of bloat.
  • The rest of the sound is great too, the midrange and treble are nicely detailed without being harsh.

  • They are great sounding speakers for mixing and mastering.
  • And most importantly, the sound quality is truly amazing - the fact that you can adjust the sound to your specific taste is just icing on the cake.
  • I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I definitely value great sound quality. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, the sound is phenomenal.
  • The sound is clear and crisp and perfect for a small room/studio setup.
  • The high end is nice and crisp and the low end, while a bit quiet, is very flat and not over powering.

What customers say about "Features"
PreSonus Eris E5 Active Monitor Loudspeaker
  • A great choice for the small home studio. A full set of EQ controls on the back to allow for less than ideal placement - control boundary bass boost, reflected high frequencies, etc.
  • The front port also helps in positioning these monitors close to rear wall to get that ideal flat response over the full range.
  • Overall for the price I'm very pleased with them. And they look good too!
  • I couldn't be happier. They look smart, and sound fantastic.
  • There's a very useful switch on the back of each speaker that sets the bass output according to how the speakers are positioned relative to rear and side walls.
PreSonus Eris E5 XT 5.25" Near Field Studio Monitor with EBM Waveguide
  • The best features are the convenient size, light weight, and the acoustic tuning.
  • The plastic feels a bit cheap, but they're very sturdy.
  • Tunable and great sound reproduction. Used for video audio monitoring.
  • The material feels clean and high quality. They have a decent weight to them.
  • Great sounding speaker for the cost. although i had one problem with the rca connections, they made a really bad buzzing noise and white noise.
