I'm very glad I did. Firstly they are superbly built, nothing in their construction or controls says 'budget'.
A solid cabinet with a nice finish and a very good selection of options on the back, including 1/4 inch, XLR and RCA connections, as well as a volume control to balance the sound left to right.
These are my first studio monitors. I couldn't believe my ears when I fired them up. I am impressed by the build quality and sound they produce.
They have a really nice quality look and feel to them. The sound is excellent (I own other powered monitors too).
These Studio Monitor speakers are very well built and for the price they may very well be a tremendous value for the home studio enthusiast or professional alike.

The drivers sound more dynamic, faster, and more accurate. These sound incredible.
These are great speakers that are easy to set up. I am using them as monitors in my home studio.
Detailed sound. More than sufficient bass output when using them as studio monitors.
The only real draw back is the lack of lower end sub-response, which were to be expected from the reviews and nothing too surprising from a 5-inch woofer.
These speakers emit substantial white noise when powered on.

Great sounding little monitor for the money. I like the fact it doesn`t have artificially enhanced bass end.
Love the sound of the speakers! Much better than my previous Alesis Elevate 5. The Eris E5 pack quite the punch for its size!
PreSonus Eris E5 is an excellent, small, beautiful monitor. It is a bit warm with excellent bass response, and very nice build quality.
The bass is clear and solid, and they are surprisingly loud for small cones.
I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for small compact speakers that have great sound and don't want to spend too much.

This speaker is clear sounding and light weight. This speaker gives a new way to listen to music.
These speakers sound amazing with a huge range of music and they never draw attention to themselves. And even more impressive is their compact size.
They're not gorgeous. The rear inputs, knobs and switches aren't top quality.
I was delighted with the size and weight. It was perfect for the studio.
Amazing dynamic range, a lot bigger in size than I expected though. I was disappointed with its bulky size.

Great sounding for the price, perfect for very-close near-field monitoring. Even the low end is respectable. As good as some that are twice the price.
Perfectly flat speakers, highly recommend these for music lovers and anyone else looking to do studio work.
They can go very loud but perhaps more importantly they give a good full rendition at lower volumes so work can be done without annoying family and neighbors.
The resulting bass is tight and tuneful, without a hint of bloat.
The rest of the sound is great too, the midrange and treble are nicely detailed without being harsh.

The mids and highs are excellent, and the bass is surprisingly adequate for the driver size.
The sound is great. They are well balanced. Bass is very responsive.
These things sound good. Bought these to use as a second set of monitors to use in a small space.
These sound fantastic, very crisp and pleasing to the ear. I use them all the time just to listen to music with.
Pleasant mids and highs without the overly harsh components that often accompany a horn-loaded tweeter.

A great choice for the small home studio. A full set of EQ controls on the back to allow for less than ideal placement - control boundary bass boost, reflected high frequencies, etc.
The front port also helps in positioning these monitors close to rear wall to get that ideal flat response over the full range.
Overall for the price I'm very pleased with them. And they look good too!
I couldn't be happier. They look smart, and sound fantastic.
There's a very useful switch on the back of each speaker that sets the bass output according to how the speakers are positioned relative to rear and side walls.

The speakers are connected to my Schiit Jotunheim via balanced cable. That works great.
Very powerful, very crisp speakers. I have a minor in Audio and Technology, and JBL was always a great recommendation, and I have no issues.
The build quality really stands out. These feel like they are going to last a very long time.
I use the Mackie Big Knob Passive Monitor Controller to control these monitors. This works with both unbalanced and balanced input, and makes volume control and input selection effortless.
The volume controls are super sensitive and little difficulty to control.
