Excellent item for music - on Stereo mode or if you watching Movies in 5.1 , it will be perfect !
This was a pleasant surprise. The sound was clear & crisp. Movie soundtrack was well detailed. Using it in my bedroom & very happy with it.
At a moderate volume level, it provides very good music sound quality.
To a small room and a good listening environment, the power is more than enough to enjoy musics and movies.
A really excellent piece of kit. Compact and full of features. But really delivers where it counts - the sound quality is fantastic for both movies and music.

Superb sound much preferred over the Yamaha
Versatile, great sounding, fantastic receiver.
Great sound quality. I've been using it for a couple of weeks with a pair of Dali Zen for 3 and I am loving it more and more each day.
The display on the front panel of the receiver is useful, and the sound is lovely. Lovely. Smooth and effortless.
Very good reciever functions and great sound quality from subwoofer.

Passes full 4k HDR across from both Xbox and PS4 and sounds great.
Relatively easy to set up and easy to use. so pleased. Ideal for the small space I have.
The function of internet radio is great and there are plenty of excellent 320 bitrate music channels to select.
After few weeks of using it I am still surprised how good sound quality and all those features can be build in one very affordable box.
Also like the internet radio function - we are running from ethernet and not WiFi as it sits in a cabinet and the WiFi aerials cannot be extended and would be shielded within the cabinet.

Love the Bluetooth ( stream Spotify, local music from my PC) and HEOS.
Firmware update brought Airplay 2 which has been flawless. The small form factor is PERFECT for those not looking to take up much space. I highly recommend this one.
I'm using a 5.1 speaker set from Aperion Audio and the combination seems well-matched.
A CD player and a turntable both worked just fine as well.
The on board Audyssey sound setup and room calibration system worked like a champ.

Marantz NR1508 5 Channel Slim AV Receiver

System set up was easy. It could play various lossless audio file through USB storage media such as portable hard disk drive.
Easy to set up - microphone to assess the room and listening positions - all very high tech and sounds great
Overall performance so far is really great and especially like the HDMI loop through which cuts down the cable connections on the back of the TV.
I even got my Virgin Tifo and PS4 box fitted through the receiver which is great.
Purchased as a replacement for a receiver in order to take advantage of modern HDMI connections.

As such the extra connectivity was the principle reason for choosing the NR1509 over its cheaper sibling (nice to see phono inputs back)
It produces good full range of sound has a plethora of connection
Connect to Sony Blu-Ra and SACD, Music Hall turntable, B&W 685s2and Velodyne sub.
There are lots of input options, the remote is reasonably laid out
The receiver seems to connect to WiFi with no problems. The "internet radio" works as promised,
