- They're super comfy to wear on a long term listening basis.
- The build quality is good, being all plastic but sturdy.
- Built is ok, touch plasticky but otherwise ok.
- As expected, these are a reasonably comfortable set of headphones with the plush velour earpads perfectly sized to fit around my largish ears, providing good comfort.
- It's a tried and trusted design which looks good. Much of the headphone is made of plastic, but it still manages to feel good quality.
- These are without a doubt the best headphones I have ever bought. So comfortable worth every penny to the point.

- I don’t claim to be a huge audiophile, but to my untrained ears these are the best headphones that have ever gone onto my head!
- Listening to dnb or other electronic music, the bass is nice without drowning out everything else.
- They are amazing. Crisp definition and great range off pitches.
- The earpieces have a foam surround with a velvet feel to the material and the same stuff is used under the head band.
- Sound quality is obviously better with the amp, but even without it, the sound quality is generally very good for the price.
- Very comfortable, with a sound quality that is second to none.
- There is a depth and space to the sound that the AKG's never had, whilst also having a remarkable amount of detail.
- Very little difference between the HD 598 and HD 599 except that the HD 599 has slightly more bass
- The sound stage is larger and the clarity is better . I've noticed subtle things in tracks that I'd never noticed before thanks to the great frequency response.
- The cups themselves are also replaceable making these a good long term purchase.
