What customers say about "Size & Weight"
beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO Over-Ear Studio Headphones
  • These are German engineering at its best - well made, with interchangeable parts (so if you wear something out, you simply replace the part, rather than the entire unit)
  • They are a tad heavy (the trade off for well made kit), and do take a little getting used to if you've only ever used lightweight/cheaper headphones
  • Comfort...wow..i love the enormous ?velour ear pads.. you can wear this hours on end without fatigue.
  • The first time you unpack them and see the no-nonsense look, the big-and-bad all-replaceable-parts look, you know you're not talking about poser-gear here.
  • The build quality is solid, the sound is amazing with a really punchy, strong bass and music, games and films sound amazing while using them.
beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO
  • Very good on the whole, only the things that needed to be metal were metal; the headband and the cup holders, whilst the outer housing of the earcups was made from a very high quality and hard wearing plastic.
  • The headphones are extremely comfortable, stylish and appear robustly made
  • They are built like a tank and the ear cups are a velour instead of faux (fake) leather like on the Customs, which in my opinion is a good thing.
  • They look better in the flesh. I was concerned the padded headband would be plasticky (like cheap vinyl), but it's quite plush and very soft, more like a jacket.
  • The build quality feels expensive and they're very comfortable

What customers say about "Features"
beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO Over-Ear Studio Headphones
  • Stand-alone use is very good, with plenty of detail showing across the range, a good place to start with audio kit if your budget won't stretch to additional kit as this will hold up well without an amp.
  • With good quality DAC and amp, well it truly comes into its own when paired with good additional equipment - lots of detail which I've never heard before becomes noticeable
  • I sometimes sleep with them on since it's so comfy. they should make a pillow out of the materials of their earpads. lol.
  • They're super meaty in the low end, they do have a tiny bit of compromise on the mids, but the treble is awesome and the sound stage is as accurate as on my Eclipses and let me tell you, that is 110% praise because those latter's are the standard.
  • Headphones themselves are of superior quality and produce beautiful crisp sound, with reverberating bass throughout the extremely-comfortable ear-cups.
beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO
  • When they are correctly amped, these are among the best things that I have listened to for home usage, especially in a quiet environment, where background noise isn't much of an issue
  • My friend aptly summed them up: 'They feel like clouds on your ears.' Even after two years of heavy use
  • The bass has feeling.. By this i mean you can feel the bass breathing , thumping and pounding your ears yet in a very clear and rather pleasant way.. It certainly never sounds muddy or over powering.
  • Sound quality - whatever been said in any reviews is true, the clarity of the sound, the crispiness , crystal clear, the sound stage (for FPS gamers) is very well present and precise
  • One of the most comfortable headphone out there, feel like a brand new winter Hat on your ears
