  • The Dell stand is much more flexible, even allowing for vertical orientation which is great when doing page layout work, especially posters.
  • The stand is height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustable.

  • The stand is solid with firm, well-damped movements. Tilt is 21° back and 5° forward, with 90° swivel to either side, and 5.4” of height adjustment.
  • Can get a portrait mode where the panel sits right on the desk surface which is very handy.
  • There are no internal speakers. To be honest, happy, this monitor doesn't have one of these terrible speakers.
  • The UP2718Q’s OSD is extensive and includes a full set of calibration controls in the Custom Color mode.
  • The control system is convenient and not addictive. When you press any of the five main keys, prompts appear on the screen.

  • Dell has lot of USB ports, including 2 fast charging ports for charging iPhones/iPads etc.
  • Lot of connection options. Easy connects to Mac. JUst be sure that your PC has HDMI 2.0 ports.
  • Works well out of the box with my 2017 Macbook pro using a USB-C to DisplayPort cable.
  • Supported natively by Windows 10 and the older graphics card I'm still using via displayport.
  • The "Smart HDR" feature is greyed out in the menu if you don't connect via HDMI.

  • On the left edge are two convenient USB 3.0 downstream ports.
  • Audio is supported only by a headphone output which is very useful.
  • The UP2718Q is KVM-capable with two upstream USB 3.0 ports along with four downstream connections.
  • Plenty of connectivity options and possible to be connected to 2 PC at once.
  • USB connection is not logical to which USB work with what connection.
