What customers say about "Key Specs"
ASUS ROG Strix XG258Q eSport Gaming Monitor
  • If you're looking at playing games at the ultra-ultra-wide resolution, understand that it's graphically intensive.
  • I like the image quality and high resolution.
  • Gaming is great but I need to update my rig to take advantage of the higher resolution.
  • Overall very good quality product with good resolution.
  • It’s surprising just how much better working is with this size and resolution.
Alienware AW2518HF Full HD Gaming Monitor
  • 200fps+ in games like Battlefield One, Battlefield 4, Destiny 2 and other FPS' just completely changes the multiplayer experience.
  • The picture quality is fantastic, to be honest - I used to hate 1080p when I first switch to 1440p, but stuff's crisp.
  • I tried a couple of high refresh rate monitors, but this one was so far the best one.
  • 240Hz - Blisteringly fast response times. Ideal for FPS games
  • The screen just doesn't look sharp with this low resolution.

What customers say about "Display"
ASUS ROG Strix XG258Q eSport Gaming Monitor
  • The display is non glare, has super good viewing angles.
  • Tilt and height and it has a very nice curve so you'll want to be in the centre to get the best feel for the display.
  • I'm currently using it for both work and gaming, and I'm honestly impressed by the quality of the display.
  • Beautiful 1440p display, amazing refresh rate.
  • The monitor display is perfect, however the screen went fuzzy after a year.
Alienware AW2518HF Full HD Gaming Monitor
  • Alienware has stonking colours for a TN panel - with a bit of tweaking I really enjoy it.
  • The colors and gamma out of the box are nearly perfect.
  • The colour and picture quality is very good for TN panel.
  • My daughter pointed out that if sitting too low or at an angle, the screen becomes harder to see.
  • Colours are not as vivid as IPS displays and appear slightly washed out.

What customers say about "Features"
ASUS ROG Strix XG258Q eSport Gaming Monitor
  • No issues when unboxing, and VESA mounting was easy.
  • The on-screen refresh rate counter happily goes up and down when gaming, proving that the feature is working.
  • It's FreeSync 2, meaning that it passes some of the feature set needed such as HDR.
  • Well made really good options and features and the perfect size for gaming, designing doing work.
  • When you remove the stands you lose the extra lighting feature.
Alienware AW2518HF Full HD Gaming Monitor
  • The monitor itself has a fairly thin bezel and looks very clean.
  • The on-screen menu is similar to other dell monitors with some extra stuff.
  • Stand is solid, very firm and doesn't wobble the screen even if the desk shakes.
  • If it's high FPS gaming then this is 100% the best monitor for the money.
  • No built in speakers - Not a big issue , but for the price you'd expect a little extra here.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
ASUS ROG Strix XG258Q eSport Gaming Monitor
  • At any rate, you will need to connect using DisplayPort to make use of as much refresh rate as you can.
  • Don't even bother unpacking the supplied HDMI and/or Mini Display cable, they're utterly rubbish and don't even support the specs.
  • This monitor does come with a display port cable and a HDMI cable.
  • Comes with display and hdmi cable.
  • Only 1 hdmi 2.0 port, stands take up a fair bit of desk space.
Alienware AW2518HF Full HD Gaming Monitor
  • It has 2 x HDMI 2.0 and can do 240hz over HDMI.
  • It can do adaptive sync, which is stunning and only over DisplayPort.
  • At the bottom center of the monitor there are 2 x USB 3.0 ports and audio jack, which is very convenient.
  • There a 4 USB 3.0 ports built in which i think is very convenient.
  • Offers a very useful USB hub where you can hide the cables should you wish to have a nice neat setup.
