The fast aperture at every focal length, and image stabilization make this an all-in-one lens.
Wide F2.8 constant aperture. There are not a lot of lenses you can get for Canon APS-C cameras that are F2.8 in this focal range.
It is a great lens for low-light situations thanks to the image stabilizer and large aperture setting.
It performs well in low-light situations, and the nice, wide aperture blurs the background beautifully in portraits.
Extremely sharp at all apertures.

Despite its size, Sigma's' 18-35mm lens feels well balanced on the camera.
The rubber on the zoom and focus rings are the perfect size.
Great for on the go. I like the weight of it.
This lens is very heavy.
Downside is the weight to this lens.

The zoom and focus ring are buttery smooth.
It's very quiet and moves smoothly.
The lens is able to focus very fast and with the HSM you can't hear a thing.
Zoom and focus ring are insanely smooth.
Autofocus has poor precision and poor accuracy.

The auto focus worked great, was plenty fast and is pretty quiet.
Image stabilization is a must for hand-held video shots and allows for hand-held shots at slower shutter speeds.
Very fast focus, as well as accurate.
The IS and auto-focus is effective and fast enough for me.
The speed of focus is satisfactory, the sharpness is good and it is light to carry.
