What customers say about "Key Specs"
Zwilling Pro (38401-161-0) Chef's Knife, Steel, Silver/Black
  • Quality materials and craftsmanship, sharp as a razor, good ergonomics.
  • Blade shape makes this knife ideal for every kitchen job except paring, and the 6 inch length means you never have to go camping, fishing, or on vacation without a good kitchen knife.
  • Very sharp and handy. Good length and curve. Elegant look.
  • The lack of a full bolster makes it easy to sharpen the full length.
  • The curved transition to the blade might make storage in some blocks a bit unsightly.
Wüsthof Classic Ikon Cook's Knife, 8-Inch
  • I was looking for a heavy chopper and found it. It just glides through food, slices, cuts and chops with ease, from fine veg to cooked meats, this is a knife that does it all.
  • The Wusthof name with the promise of German quality in materials and manufacturing tradition tipped the scales and I do not regret my decision one bit.
  • The blade has just enough heft behind it to make heavy tasks easy work.
  • I can't claim to be a pro chef with experience using lots of different knives but this is an extremely sharp knife, easy to sharpen and stays sharp.
  • The blade has to be sharpened after a few days of use.

  • It is the smaller blade size, combined with the wider blade width, that makes this a winner among analogues.
  • Great knife! Wonderful weight and fantastically sharp edge! I use it on everything!
  • It has a little more weight to it than what I was used to but it feels very nice and balanced.
  • The weight and heft of the knife feels very bad, it's too heavy for me.
Wüsthof Classic Ikon Cook's Knife, 8-Inch
  • Excellent knife. Good weight and size for everyday use. Use it for almost all food cutting.
  • In my opinion it is a perfect weight for a knife of this size, it is also perfectly balanced.
  • It's a beautiful weight, well balanced, made to a very high standard and easy to keep hellishly sharp with a diamond steel.
  • Good weight distribution at the end of the handle. Very sharp.
  • It is one of the heaviest knives and much heavier than analogues.
