The Valiant (FIR361) Premium is a rather versatile product that would fit most customers looking to make their living room a cosier place. That said, it is easily the best stove fan for people with those cool-touch stoves that do not heat up as well as the wood-burning ones.

The fan incorporates a thermoelectric module, a component that acts as a small generator. Using nothing but your stove's heat, it powers the unit's motor. You won't have to waste your money on batteries and extra electricity. And you won't have to control the speed of the fan either.

CONS

The blades are relatively flimsy, so try to be careful with them.

OUR VERDICT

The VonHaus 14/061 is a solid fan. The minimalistic design that isn't too excessive will make it a good addition to your living room. It does a good job of dispersing the heat and it is a far more affordable option compared to most other prospects on the market.

PROS

Capable of reaching up to 220 CFM, this stove fan will be able to distribute more air. There's a bi-metallic safety device in the base of the fan. Once the temperature reaches a certain number (around 300 degrees Celcius), the said device elevates the front of the fan, protecting both the TEG and the motor from overheating.

CONS

It takes more than 85 degrees of heat for the fan to start working.

OUR VERDICT

There are a couple of things that make this model from Tomersun worth buying. First, there's the convenient size that will allow you to easily find some space for the fan. Second, there's the considerable performance that will let you keep a rather sizable room nice and warm.

Valiant Premium IV

A Premium Option

The Valiant (FIR361) Premium may look similar to any other stove fan but we'd say that the "premium" part of its name is quite accurate. It's a compact little machine that features less than 20 centimetres in height. The size alone makes it quite versatile since you'll always be able to find some space for it.

In addition to the size, the model features a particularly low starting temperature. Unlike most of these fans, Valiant Premium starts dispersing air when the temperature reaches about 45 degrees Celcius. That makes this fan perfect for all kinds of stoves with a flat top. But it is also more than suitable for those convector types, twin-skinned, and topped stoves.

As per usual, this stove fan is heat-powered, so you won't have to waste your time and money on batteries or any other external power source. It comes equipped with a thermally controlled actuator, a nice little detail that ensures optimal Peltier performance.

Safety is often one of the primary concerns with these products. But the model in question has it covered with an inbuilt protection system. The system is designed in a way that will stop the fan from overheating.

In short, the Valiant (FIR361) Premium is a rather versatile product that would fit most customers looking to make their living room a cosier place. That said, it is easily the best stove fan for people with those cool-touch stoves that do not heat up as well as the wood-burning ones.

JKsmart JK-SF-334-UK

Make That Room Nice and Warm

There's nothing quite like a seat next to a warm stove on a particularly cold or drizzly day. The bigger the stove and the seat, the better it is in that room. But if you truly have a sizable room, just the stove itself simply won't cut it. And that is where the JKsmart JK-SF-334-UK comes in.

Though the fan has quite a lot going for it, its performance characteristics are definitely the biggest selling point of this model. Its power can stretch up to 270 CFM. Capable of moving that much air, it will be able to keep the biggest room so warm and snuggly that you'll never want to leave it.

Aside from the sheer power, another element that contributes to the stove fan's exceptional performance is a unique design of the 4 blades. The protuberant design of those blades allows the model to drive more air without causing it to produce extra noise.

The fan is also no stranger to the inbuilt overheat protection system, with the usual setup that lifts the front of the fan when the temperature reaches about 250 degrees Celcius.

In addition to the fan itself, you'll also get a magnetic stove thermometer. Though quite useful, some customers claim that the thermometer can be inaccurate, so you might want to avoid putting too much trust in it.

All things considered, this is a fairly simple choice. If you love spending your leisure time against a warm stove but the said stove is simply not enough to keep the premises nice and warm, the JKsmart JK-SF-334-UK is easily the best option for you. And if your room isn't that large, you might be better off with a simpler fan.

CRSURE Fireplaces

Any Stove Will Do

Stove fans don't differ that much from each other. The CRSURE Fireplaces Stove Fan is pretty different though.

Most stove models aren't able to produce more airflow than ~250 CFM. The fan that we're reviewing here has no issues reaching 430 CFM. Of course, the difference stems from the model's double-head build.

Equipped with 8 blades, the fan circulates 50% more warm air compared to traditional 4-blade fans, making the model the most effective and, at the same time, efficient way to heat any room from the stove.

As it is usually the case with these fans, the unit is completely self-powered. You won't have to worry about batteries/mains electricity expenses. In other words, the fan costs nothing to operate.

The only issue we have with the model's operation is these whirring sounds that the fan makes during use. They're barely audible though since the fan never goes above 25 decibels.

Other than that, its anodized aluminium body is rustproof and wear-resistant, so you shouldn't have any problems with the fan in the long run.

In short, the CRSURE Fireplaces Stove Fan is as good as these things get. The model will prove the best partner for your stove. You can put the fan onto any log burner, fireplace, wood, multifuel, gas, or pellet stove. The complimentary stove thermometer is as accurate and reliable as they come.

VonHaus 14/061

Minimalism at Work

What makes stove fans so attractive to so many customers, among other things, is just how environmentally friendly they are. And with the VonHaus 14/061, that description is no less accurate.

You won't have to spend money on batteries, so you won't have to contaminate the environment with the latter either. You won't have to waste extra electricity either. Not dissimilar to most of these fans, the model in question comes equipped with a thermoelectric module. In layman's terms, that module essentially acts as a small generator. Using nothing but your stove's heat, it powers the unit's motor. Once the temperature reaches about 50 degrees Celcius, the fan starts working.

And you won't have to control the speed of the fan either. According to the temperature in the room, the self-regulating speed mechanism will do that for you. Though we were mostly satisfied with the model, we can't say that we're impressed with the quality of the blades. They seem a bit flimsy, so you might want to be careful with them. But we did like the whisper-quiet operation of this stove fan and a convenient carry handle that makes it easy to move the fan around.

Overall, the VonHaus 14/061 is a solid fan. The minimalistic design that isn't too excessive will make it a good addition to your living room. It does a good job of dispersing the heat and it is a far more affordable option compared to most other prospects on the market.

Tomersun Twin Blade Stove Fan

Small Size for Limited Spaces

There isn't always enough space on the stove to put a whole lot of stuff there. But the model from Tomersun doesn't really require a whole lot of space. The people behind this fan didn't put the "Extra Mini" in the name of this product just for the sake of it. Now, it isn't the smallest that we've come across. But, with less than 4 inches (10 centimetres) in height, it'll prove to be more than suitable for suitable for those small stoves that feature a limited amount of space on top of them.

But the size is not the only good thing about this product. Capable of reaching up to 220 CFM, this stove fan will be able to distribute more air. That means you could use it to heat up a rather sizable room.

Most decent stove fans come with some sort of inbuilt protection system that prevents those fans from overheating and this model is no exception. The engineers at Tomersun have put a bi-metallic safety device in the base of the fan. Once the temperature reaches a certain number (around 300 degrees Celcius), the said device elevates the front of the fan. This way, it protects both the TEG and the motor from overheating, and that's all you really need to extend the fan's service life.

All in all, there are a couple of things that make this model from Tomersun worth buying. First, there's the convenient size that will allow you to easily find some space for the fan. Second, there's the considerable performance that will let you keep a rather sizable room warm and pleasant.

Review of Tomersun Twin Blade Stove Fan Extra Mini

What Is a Stove Fan?

There's nothing quite like a stove when it comes to improving the atmosphere and the overall vibe in the living room. That said, despite the fact that they were originally designed for this very purpose, stoves aren't always quite as effective in terms of even heat distribution. But, with a stove fan, you will easily be able to fix this unfortunate flaw of theirs. As you might have already figured out on your own, a fan like that is a simple tool that is used to distribute the warm air generated by a stove to the surrounding area. Despite their often small size, these little machines are capable of making a pretty sizable room much warmer, with some help from the fireplace, of course. They don't differ that much from each other but you might want to pay attention to the model's CFM numbers as those will display the force of the airflow and to the operating temperatures, and the latter, in turn, will determine what kind of temperature your stove fan will be able to handle.

Now, even though a fan is a fan, there are a few things that make these specific fans suitable for this specific purpose. So if you want more of a general-purpose fan, we would recommend our reviews of ceiling fans and misting fans.
