One thing you have to remember though - the turntable has no auto return so remember to check the turntable once in a while.
Brilliant turntable. Easy to set up and sounds great out of the box using its built-in phono stage and purpose made cartridge.
Being able to change speed with the turn of a dial is a real bonus - no more moving a drive belt for me!

It does not have automatic arm on it but that does not bother me and you also have to build it up yourself which is not to hard to do
Great sound, great for listening all your vinyl collection. It has automatic option for 33 rpm and 45 rpm.
This is an excellent turntable. USB compatible and the sound is great, even with some slight damage to the vinyl of some LPs it plays beautifully.
Bought this Sony turntable at Christmas. The reproduction from Vynil LPs is great. Full marks to Sony.

This turntable punches well above it's weight - superb sound and looks really good too.
Having balanced the head, I checked it against the digital scales I have and found the weights to be very accurate.
Very good easy to set up just follow the instructions great depth of sound nice weight and well built.
It looks and feels like a quality product, reassuringly heavy, made from quality materials and not 'plasticky'.
Very easy to set-up and the build of this turntable is very impressive and heavy too.

I personally love the design, though it's marmite to some, its simple and sleek with a nice sturdy matt black baseboard black hardware
Also it just looks amazing on my living room. Still think that it is a bit expensive, but it keeps sony reputation on sound quality.
Build quality is solid and it didn't take too long to set up.
Easy to assemble, very well built. Great option for mid level entry.
Enjoying a complete nostalgia fest with Mrs X and little Xs listening to records we have not played in decades. Really easy to set up, elegant design.

Can be connected via an amp or directly to an Aux cable via its phono pre amp giving you both options.
The tonearm is a maginificent piece of engineering. Compared to an old turntable I used to have, I can see that things have moved on significantly as I couldn't see any physical flaws.
So how does it sounds? I miss vinyl. Thought I'd never say that! There's the hiss, some crackle (depending on the quality and condition of the vinyl) and then the magic starts.
The stylus which was specially made for this turnable sounds marvellous.
The ability to upgrade the cartridge and stylus are good incentives as I don't think the tonearm needs any further improvement.

Thankfully nabbed it in a sale. On first impressions the sound is beautiful. Really nice and crisp, with great ranges, either to an amp or direct to speakers using the built in amp stage.
I have listened to heavy and thrash metal, hard rock, pop, prog, acoustic, ambient and even crooners. Clarity and soundstage have been great.
Threw on some new records, and some mint classics. All perfect. In some cases hearing them almost like for the first time.
In-built preamp has a decent quality. I am using just as a player, did not try the recording functionality so far.
The turntable handled everything from the delicate woodwind, full string sections and plunky, tight upright bass with nice detail.

Whether you are just getting into vinyl or your looking to dust off your collection and start listening again it's a great choice.
Vinyl is back and with turntables like this you can enjoy its resurgence for a long time !!
It actually works like a record era player and is built on a different level to contemporary players.
Socket wise, there a 3 pin socket on the back along wiht the phono outputs, a switch to boost the signal to an amp
The output from the turntable to the laptop sounded very good.

Operation is a basic dial selector on the left hand side (on, 33 1/3rpm,45rpm. Again, it is all very minimal, simple, flush and straight, which I think gives it a kind of understated look.
As an added bonus, using the USB out straight to your computer means you can save your record tracks as hi res audio files to take with you.
This turntable is just perfect, sound quality is amazing, it just brings everything from my vinyls!
Be it a well loved piece of vintage vinyl or a brand new pressing, it sounds beautiful!!!
Put on a good quality pressing and it'll really impress Overall, a very good buy
