What customers say about "Key Specs"
Lowepro Vertex 100 AW
  • The materials are hard wearing and robust, but still look good and very professional.
  • Durable material looks quality and I trust it very much.
  • The bag has a large compartment for a 15 inch laptop but I see not reason to add 6 lbs to a camera bag by having a laptop and its charging brick.
  • The laptop compartment is more than sufficient to hold my Dell Latitude D830, a 17" widescreen laptop.
  • The material is very worn out after a month. Scratches are visible and threads stick out everywhere.
  • The only thing that I don't like is the pockets for holding filters are on the small size , will not hold 67 or 77mm filters in the plastic boxes they came in.

  • Exterior materials are hard wearing and seem to hold up well to some fairly tough environments.
  • There are many pockets, some look-through, and some are more usable than others.
  • The most striking feature is the quality of materials and robustness. Comfortable to wear.
  • The quality of the materials and the components (zips, straps, attachment points etc) is definitely in line with the price-point, and I can see it lasting a long long time.
  • I've used it for a couple of trips (including a 4-day festival trip) and it swallows all my kit with ease, and then allows easy access to it.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Lowepro Vertex 100 AW
  • The bag is compact and very small but with a lot of space for gear and equipment for amateurs!
  • It is cleverly designed, very comfortable thanks to its big thick waist and shoulder strap and it is the right size for travel by plane.
  • Plenty of room for the three lenes I currently use and all three of the lens hoods too, which are pretty good size and take up a lot of room.
  • For the size, excellent storage areas and reasonably light weight and durable.
  • This bag with nothing in it is just too heavy. If weight doesn't bother and you want storage then I could see this being a decent bag. But then might as well get a suit case that rolls.
  • The bag is somewhat heavy, even without equipment in it.
Lowepro Vertex 200 AW Photo/ 15.4" Notebook Backpack For Digital SLR & 4-6 Lenses - Black
  • The bag, although large and a little heavy (3 kg), feels well in your hands and shoulders.
  • I am abot 6ft 18stone brick-outsized size person and I found that heavy to lift, but once on your back it was comfortable to wear and after a while you hardly noticed the weight.
  • The bag is quite large, but it does not feel bulky, even if it is fully loaded, it feels comfortable.
  • Not enough lightweight padding and too many complicated straps as well as tough but really heavy fabric makes this a hard bag to hump around.
  • It's a little bulky when squeezing past people while browsing in shops etc.

What customers say about "Protection"
Lowepro Vertex 100 AW
  • The Lowepro has a soft, almost microfiber like interior material which are not hard on the equipment.
  • It holds my SLR, 4 lenses, cables, manuals with plenty of rooms for other stuff. And everything protected by the isolating material.
  • It has a waterproof, cinch-down covering in case you go hiking in the rain. The cover perfectly saves all the things that are in the backpack.
  • The zipper goes all the way around the top, one side, and the bottom, so you have full access to the interior and this too makes a difference in terms of both what will fit inside.
  • There is a slip-lock attachment anywhere you could want one, and a very well-engineered "GlideLock" system on three points.

  • The extra padding and materials certainly ensure that your kit is well protected.
  • This backpack offers great protection from the weather and the knocks my gear gets.
  • The zippers are strong with some being weather sealed, the padding is thick and durable.
  • The bag has sufficient space for gear and the dividers protect your gear really well.
  • A great bag for storing camera & accessories. Lots of compartments and lots of padding to give the protection needed!

What customers say about "Features"
Lowepro Vertex 100 AW
  • The straps and waist belt and sternum strap design is excellent and I would not have minded the extra 3 lbs. of weight with this backpack.
  • The backpack is very good to use when you're out on a hike. It's adjustable in lots of ways, and the straps that go around your lower back help to balance the weight.
  • The straps are easy to control and snugs up tight & comfortable making this heavy load easy to carry.
  • The lack of interior wall area with material for attaching the Velcro panels greatly limits the options for changing the interior configuration of the bag.
  • The top lock for the tripod needs to be unlocked to get to the main compartment, and the tripod can slide somewhat back and forth when you're opening the bag.

  • The straps are very high quality and the waist and chest straps are of the proper hiking type with great padding.
  • Padding easily rearranged to suit individuals specific needs via the Velcro anchor points.
  • The bag allow me to pack some food and a flask - exterior pockets can take a bottle of water.
  • It's weather resistant, so no worries about getting your equipment soaked, and the zip is large and chunky, so less likely to fail than some of the smaller ones.
  • It has an all-weather cover with a clinch belt to stop it flapping in wind, which is not only water but also dust and sand resistant.
