What customers say about "Features"
SINGER Promise 1408 Sewing Machine
  • The bobbin changing is very easy, the mechanism provided to thread the bobbin is also easy to use, and helps stitch things faster.
  • The quality of the build is good, and its heavy enough to stay stable on the table. The electric pedal is responsive and smooth.
  • Fairly small and light, portable. Comes with a light near the needle that makes it easier to see the work as we stitch.
  • Foot pedal is easy to use, and stitch speed maxes out at a reasonable, manageable level.
  • Only drawback I could find is lack of a decent dust cover. The one offered with the machine is made of filmsy material.

  • This machine is just what I wanted, easy to use, with easy instuctions, great!! Would recommend it to anyone, especially first time sewers.

  • Done a few things with it already. Mainly repair our clothes. Does the job every time and is very easy to use.
  • Multiple types of stitches available, easy to use and in line with old singer products.
