Weather sealing, great ergonomics, beautiful LCD and a rich menu system - all in a lightweight magnesium alloy camera body that weighs less than its predecessor.
It is a good size and weight, it feels comfortable, but not too heavy.
I love the auto white balance which works a treat in almost 99% of scenarios. I love the weight of the camera.
I bought this body as an upgrade from my previous D3300 and I'm loving this up to now. The body has a nice weight which is good imo.
Personally I would like to see a tad more weight to the camera, but many will prefer its lightweight body.

As soon as you pick up this camera the first thing you will realise is that it is so lightweight and compact.
The camera is more compact than our other camera with an amazing picture quality it is also easy to learn the different functions that the camera has on it.
I do a lot of walking and have lugged about heavy, professional Nikon full frame dslr's. I needed a lighter, more compact camera and this model fits the bill perfectly.
Having said that, this camera, although very light, feels extremely well made and was an absolute bargain.
It's probably your best choice if you are just starting into photography and want to travel around since it's lightweight and very decent battery life.

The image quality is excellent with large file sizes, excellent performance.
Its high-resolution 24.1 MP sensor delivers superb performance at both low and high ISO.
I used, for the first time, last week high ISO sensitivity levels and was blown away by the quality of the image on JPEG Fine.
A much higher ISO level plus exposure compensation produced exactly what I wanted.
The first thing I noticed was the performance in low light conditions. With the right settings I was able to reproduce very clean raw images to later develop on my computer.

The picture quality easily matches that of my 'professional' cameras.
The kit lens performed admirably taking landscapes and low-light, long exposure images of the Northern Lights. An excellent camera to start with.
What impressed me the most was the image quality and the lightining fast focus. Excellent.
I have been using this camera for a couple of days now and I'm very impressed with its image quality.
This camera has shown me how I've been missing out with the quality of amazing images.

Upgraded from a d5000 which i loved but this just blew me out the water. pictures are so sharp, colours are amazing, screen is large and clear.
LCD screen quality helps you in deciding if the image is in good or poor focus and also it shows lost highlights and focus point.
All the controls are straight forward and simple to work out and the large screen size makes this all the more accessible.
The rear screen is large and useful, the 'i' and 'info' buttons are new to me and very good.
The LCD screen is useful on the top right of the camera and the two command dials which primarily control aperture and shutter speed, though they have other uses, some customizable.

It is a fixed screen, not tiltable, and not a touch-screen. The display mode is selected by a convenient lever switch right next to the modes dial.
The D3500 lacks an articulating LCD and touch screen controls which make photography so much easier and enjoyable.
The 3" screen is big and clear with good resolution, highly recommended!
What I dont like like about this this camera are the lack of focus points and tiltable touch screen.
Downsides are no touch screen, no wifi, and no plug for a remote trigger.

The camera feels like a solid, professional tool and has a wealth of buttons/knobs to help you access all the features that you could need.
I love the intuitive falling to hand buttons and command dials. Comfortable to use.
I like the control panel on the top of the camera (as in the D80). I like the information screen you can call up on the monitor.
All the major settings are adjustable from buttons on the camera body as opposed to accessing menus which speeds things up.
6fps on rapid shoot setting, does it sound a lot? wait till you try it and you realise how quick that really is.

The d3500 feels very comfortable to hold with the rubberised grip but feels also quite solid.
This camera is really easy to use and I did find that the button placement is simple but very effective if you want to change your settings quickly.
There are plenty of different modes to go in depending on what situation you want to capture but manual mode is where you can maximise the potential and get the outcome you really want.
The menu interface is simple, not cluttered and includes a handy setup guide to get you acquainted with the camera its self.
First thing that struck me was the nice build quality, the grip is comfortable and ergonomic, the menu is easy to follow.

Indeed one can use two SD cards and captures JPEGs and RAW images at the same time if required.
Top features from my point of view are the 24mp sensor and the dual memory card slots.
Dual SD card slot. Useful when shooting RAW+JPEG, or just having larger volume for photographs or having one backup card.
The D7100 does not have WiFi but it is compatible with Nikon’s WU-1a wireless mobile adapter. It has two SD memory card slots.
I drew attention to the quality of the case, at the highest level! From the screen to the ports!

The camera comes with the battery charger, carrying strap, and has a standard SD slot instead of micro SD slot.
I have a Samsung phone and was able to download the Nikon app and transfer pics to it without any wires or taking out the SD card.
It has a SD slot for images, hdmi and usb for data transfer, so Bluetooth really shouldn’t be used as it is painfully long.
The D3500 comes with nice features such as a variety of special effects and wireless connection.
You can use the app to take photos. I had no problem connecting and downloading photos to my Android phone.
