Thermos 1.2L Stainless King

Pioneer of Thermos Production

Have no time to have your cup of tea in the morning? Want a sip while being on your walk nearby the mountains or hills? Then we recommend getting this Thermos 1.2L Stainless King flask. Produced by a pioneer of thermos production, this product is one of the best on the market, which can become the only flask you need.

What most other flasks and containers lack is a well-insulated wall that is needed to preserve your beverage hot or cold without being affected by the outdoor temperature. With this flask, though, you get the added protection, ensuring that the temperature of your drinks won't change even if you leave it under the scalding sun or in the rain outside. The unit retains the temperature perfectly, allowing you to have your tea or water hot/cold for up to 24 hours, depending on how often you open a thing.

The construction of this flask is yet another model's forte. Encased in a stainless steel housing, it is very solid and reliable, making it ideal for the on-the-go use. With that, it is neither too bulky nor heavy making it easy to slip it into just about any bag. Carrying the unit in the bag will be not only easy but also stress-free. Even if your backpack regularly gets shaken, the twist-and-pour stopper on the lid will prevent spillage and leaks.

Before wrapping this up, we'd like to say a few words about the flask design. The flask has a bottle design that makes it very slim and facilitates drinking. Plus, it features a carry handle for easy pouring, which is of ideal size for a 1.2L container. Not all users are happy with this handle, though. Some say it's not fixed very well and make producing a rattling sound, which can be annoying at times. That said, there are many other people who do not mention it all. Regardless, this isn't a serious flaw and certainly is not a deal-breaker.

So, if you trust Thermos and need a large-capacity flask for on-the-go use, the Thermos 1.2L Stainless King flask will not disappoint you.

Thermos 500 ml Ultimate Series

Ultimate Outdoor Companion

The Thermos Ultimate Series Flask, true to its name, will be able to accommodate most endeavours, from camping and hiking to road trips and everyday office use. With its sleek and lightweight design, the bottle weighs just 0.3 kilogrammes and measures modest 6.7 x 7.2 x 23.6 centimetres. These are pretty good numbers, even considering the flask's 0.5-litre capacity.

Of course, they don't sell the product as much as the company's maximum heat performance tech. With it, the bottle can keep drinks cold/hot for 24 hours straight. Creating an airless space between two walls, the model pretty much eliminates the convection process, thus eliminating temperature change. Made from durable stainless steel (both on the inside and outside), this thermos remains cool to the touch with hot drinks and sweatproof with cold ones.

What is more, the bottle comes equipped with protective silicone rings. Absorbing shock, these rings soften the impact when you drop the flask, protecting it from shock damage. The issue with these rings is that removing them is a hassle, meaning that cleaning the bottle is also a bit of a hassle.

Besides that, the Thermos Ultimate Series Flask is an ultimate outdoor companion that will let you embrace nature without worrying about your drink getting cold or becoming warm before long.

ThermoCafé Thermos 1.0L Stainless Steel Flask

It's All About Simplicity

If you aren't particularly interested in buying the most expensive thermos on the market and simply want something that will do its job great, we'd recommend you to turn your eyes towards the Thermos 181091 ThermoCafé Stainless Steel Flask. Though it features no additional perks, this flask doesn't trail behind its more expensive rivals in terms of performance and is able to preserve food hot and cold for hours.

One of the benefits of the ThermoCafé Stainless Steel Flask is its capacity that makes 1 litre. This is sufficient to supply one adult with enough food for the day. You can also use it for drinks. It has a twist and pour stopper that allows you to pour the drink without having to remove the stopper and its lid can serve as a cup.

Another advantage of the ThermoCafé Stainless Steel Flask is double insulation that creates airless space between the walls to exclude temperature change. As a result, the insulation layer can keep your food or drinks colder/hotter for a longer time.

Other than that, the Thermos 181091 doesn't look much different from any standard thermos. It has a sleek stainless steel design and compact dimensions so you can carry it with you on all your trips.

So, if you're looking for an alternative to carrying your food and drinks in containers, the ThermoCafé Stainless Steel Flask will fit the bill.

Thermos 1.0 L Light and Compact

Light and Compact

Without unnecessary introductions, as you'd expect from Thermos, this light and compact flask is polished across the board. First off, the company's vacuum insulation tech maximises temperature retention, keeping drinks cold or hot for 24 hours. The exterior remains cool to the touch and sweatproof, so you don't have to worry about scolding your hands or moisture.

As always, the push-button stopper enables easy pouring. What's more, this two-part stopper improves the flow, so you can fill up multiple cups in less than a minute. The issue here is that there is a plastic smell when drinking water through this button. However, the smell goes away fairly soon, so we wouldn't worry too much about that. We also wouldn't worry about the bottle leaking as the protective silicone rings take care of that. The rubberised pads at the top and bottom, on the other hand, protect the flask from shock damage. Last but not quite least, the cap that, along with the silicone rings, seals the bottle can also be used as a cup, which is nothing new but an important part nonetheless.

There's also the BPA-free stainless steel construction and the double-walls but thermoses always come with those. Even without taking them into account, this is one impressive and convenient flask.

Thermos 710 ml Stainless King

A Proper Food Container

For the most part, Thermos 710 ml Stainless King doesn't differ that much from your typical thermos. There's your standard BPA-free stainless steel that makes the exterior of the product durable and the interior well-insulated. The latter part is also enhanced with the double-wall design of the flask.

Again, for the most part, the model seems no different from any other thermos. But there are a few things that make it stand out. First, the stainless steel exterior features cool-touch and sweatproof properties. Thanks to this small design adjustment, you won't burn your hands with a thermos full of boiling water. On top of that, you can just put it in your backpack as the flask will always stay dry regardless of the contents.

Like most thermoses, the model in question comes with a lid that doubles as a serving bowl. But the lid has a particularly wide mouth, so it will be easier to fill it, eat from it, and clean it afterwards. The flask itself will be able to keep your food hot for 14 hours and your water cold for 24 hours.

All in all, Thermos 710 ml Stainless King is easily one of the best options for people who don't just need a bottle but an actual food flask. With it, you will be able to spend your time outdoors with a bit more comfort, and that's all you can ask for.

What Is a Thermos?

When you are heading off for a picnic or planning a camping, there is a need for some special items. And a thermos is definitely one of them. Today, the market offers a major variety of thermoses in different shapes and capacities. But first, what is a thermos?

Basically, a thermos is a vacuum container intended to preserve the temperature of food or drinks for a prolonged time. It can resemble a flask, a bottle, a can, a cup, etc. Nothing can compare to a cup of hot coffee in a chilly autumn forest, or some mulled wine up in the mountains between skiing and snowboarding sessions. You can cook food over the open fire, eat some, and put what is left into a thermos jar to finish later — it will still be hot and have a mouth-watering smell even when hours pass. And when the travelling season is over, the thermos oughtn't necessarily be put into a storage cabinet until the next year. You can use a vacuum thermos at home to brew herbal beverages or keep your baby food warm. Buying a thermos is easy, they are sold practically everywhere, from your local store to Amazon. But how do you choose one? Well, let us help you. Here, in this review, we have set a list of things to look at before buying a thermos and also selected 5 best thermoses with different features and for different prices. There will definitely be the one that suits you best.

If you love to grab your near and dear every now and then and go somewhere to see the nature in the raw, we would also like to offer you a review on best camping stoves. With one of these, you will always have freshly cooked food when you are far from civilisation.

What Features to Compare

Type and Capacity

So, you are looking through thermoses. Where to start? The answer is pretty simple — start with its type and capacity. Leaving aside unnecessary details, all the thermoses can be roughly divided into those for drinks and for food. Food thermoses have a wider neck so that you could put the food inside and take it out without fuss. Consequently, they are easy to clean. You can store first and second courses alike in food thermoses. Thermoses for drinks, in their turn, can contain tea, coffee, water, juice, wine, mulled wine etc., and any of those can be either hot or cold. Thermoses for drinks can also be divided into several types. For example, there are cup thermoses that are handy when you are constantly on-the-go and would like to spare carrying bulky heavy items. A thermos bottle is a good choice for several people and can be convenient during trips not too far into the wild. And if you explore jungles or wish to have some rest from the busy world by camping with your family or friends, you will probably appreciate a high-capacity thermos with a pump for easy pouring. Talking about capacity, it depends on the number of people using a thermos, and also on the amount of food or drinks you will need with you. For the best results, it is recommended that the thermos is full as with more free space inside comes more air and the contents exchange heat with it. We're saying that the internal temperature starts to rise or fall, depending on the air temperature.

Material and Temperature Upholding

The next criteria are the thermos material and temperature upholding. All thermoses are created in the same way, they have a durable housing and a chamber inside. The housing and the chamber do not touch, between them, there is a vacuum space that prevents heat exchange. The design may include double or triple walls for longer temperature preservation. The housing, or the outer casing, can be metal (stainless steel is preferred) or plastic. And the inside chamber might be either stainless steel or glass. Usually, the glass keeps the temperature longer, but at the same time, it is much more fragile. Even a one-meter fall can be fatal for it. Nowadays you can find thermoses with glass inside a chamber rarely. Furthermore, up-to-date metal chambers are already on par with the glass ones when it comes to keeping the temperature at the proper level. And they are much more durable, you can be sure that a little shaking or falling will cause no harm. The temperature can also be affected by the thermos type. Some thermoses for drinks hold both hot and cold temperatures for up to 24 hours, and ice cubes can stay solid for up to 120 hours. Food thermoses more often than not have metal chambers and keep food hot for 10 hours or so.

Usability

What is an appliance without a little of extras that add to its usability? The drinks thermoses' handles, for example, go into this list. It is easier to carry a thermos with a handle, don't you think? You can even attach a thermos to your backpack by the handle. Then, look at the thermos cap, it may or may not have a pump. The pump makes it easier to pour the contents without letting the air in, so the temperature holds longer. A cap functioning as a cup will also come in handy, especially so if it can hold both cold and hot beverages. If you'd prefer a cup thermos, pay a close attention to its drinking hole, it must close tightly. A hook for tea bags may be a cute addition to such thermos, too. Food thermoses often come with small extras like foldable spoons or forks, and their caps might be wide enough to be used as plates.

These are the key features to consider when picking a thermos. Of course, a list of frills that can be included in a thermos can be extended, but these parameters are the most important to consider.
