Cabepow 2Pack 6ft

Bulletproof Reinforcement

The Cabepow iPhone Charger Cable Kit offers two cables, two metres each. They're not the cheapest cables but, when you look at the details, the price becomes reasonable. These details include elongated, flexible unibody connectors that bend with the cable, minimising stress damage. These details also include the jack and the sheath connection point that has been welded with lasers, making them immune to the elements.

Nothing (within reason) is more frustrating than cables twisting, tangling, and bunching. These long Lightning cables' tangle-free design prevents that, along with the double shielding that also boasts EMI protection so that the connection remains consistent and secure even when there are multiple electromagnetic interference sources closeby.

Sure, the product has its shortcomings too. Not the biggest issue but the heads on the connectors can be hard to fit without removing certain bulky cases. You can say the same about most cables though. What you cannot say about these cables is that they're boasting aramid fibre coating atop the nylon braiding, making the cord basically bulletproof.

Bottom line, the Cabepow iPhone Charger Cable Kit includes the high-end cables you buy when you want to forget about replacing cables in the foreseeable future.

CAFELE 3.3ft LED Light

Coming at a Different Angle

The CAFELE Phone Charger Cable comes at a different angle. First and foremost, the cable adopts this 90-degree, L-shaped footprint, which facilitates much more comfortable charging when you're lying on the sofa, playing games, watching films, anything along these lines. In addition to the different design, the cable also adds an LED light, telling you that the smartphone is recharging without even looking at the phone.

Because cables are not the most layered items, the differences end with these two features. Aside from them, this model's pretty average. The braided nylon construction will allow the cord to survive at least 10,000 bends. The cord's quite flexible and the aluminium alloy case makes the cable fairly resilient. Now, unlike most Lighting cables, this one's maximum current is capping at 2.1 amps, which's not great but, all things considered, the difference between 2.1 and the industry-standard 2.4 amps is negligible. The high-grade electroplating covering the aluminium alloy case is not negligible though, protecting the cord from power surges and outages.

In short, the CAFELE Phone Charger Cable is something we'd recommend to people who use their iPhone all the time. With this cable, you can play games without the cable interfering with the right hand's access to the phone.

Aioneus 3Pack 6ft

Cheap but not Cheap

The Aioneus iPhone Charger Cable Kit includes three cables yet comes at the most affordable price (around 9 quid). Because these cables cost less than the kit's competition within this list, they're obviously not the greatest cables. Still, they're not bad either, even without taking the price into account. Sure, the nylon braiding here is not the most enduring, tested against 5,000 bends but not more than that, whereas the cables' peers are guaranteed to last 10,000 bends. That being said, 5,000 bends is more than most people are able to achieve before losing the cables or purchasing an upgrade with a different port, so these numbers are not that important.

What's more important is that these slim cables will easily connect to most phones and tablets wrapped inside the bulkiest case. What's also important is that the cables are compatible with every iPhone iteration since iPhone 5 and the last 8 iPad versions.

The bright braiding that will let you identify these cables immediately and the iPhone cords' 2-metre length that will not keep you as tied to the laptop/mains as most cables warrant bonus points too.

Long story short, the Aioneus iPhone Charger Cable Kit contains affordable, above-average that will accommodate and satisfy most Apple enthusiasts.

AmazonBasics 3ft USB A

The Toughest One

The AmazonBasics iPhone Cable, despite the name, fits not only iPhones (including every phone between iPhone 5 and the latest models, even the upcoming iPhone 12) but also iPads and the most recent iPods. Setting aside its compatibility, the cable's biggest advantage is the head, measuring 0.58 centimetres height-wise and 1 centimetre diameter-wise.

Designed narrow, this cable fits the bulkiest cases, yet, thanks to the durable PVC jacket, remains strong and resilient, tested to withstand at least 25,000 bends. Protecting the cord from fraying, this jacket is what lands this product among the most long-lasting iPhone charger cables. Besides the jacket, the model's contributing an aluminium foil and mylar shielding, reducing interference and providing extra protection layers that minimise wear.

Last but not least, the high-grade insulation protects the wires, whereas the high-strength copper construction allows these wires to maximise the signal quality and increase their durability.

The USB Type-A connector can be difficult to insert at times but, apart from that, the AmazonBasics iPhone Cable lacks any considerable disadvantages. The cable's durability alone makes this product appealing enough.

Syncwire 3.3ft

Going Strong

The Syncwire Lightning iPhone Charger Cable leaves somewhat mixed feelings.

On the one hand, the Syncwire tech keeps the current consistent, making sure that the charger does not overheat and offering high-speed data transferring. It is also certified by Apple. On the other hand, the cable's shell is made from plastic, not aluminium, meaning that it is more fragile and not as good as dissipating heat as its aluminium counterparts.

Yet, considering that, during the testing period, these cables have been shown to withstand more than 12,000 bends without breaking down, we're not too concerned with the plastic coating. Besides, this plastic shell is not without its advantages too. Thanks to its smooth finish, the shell will be preventing the cord from ripping and snagging, whilst the wrapped wires will reduce friction and fraying.

To add more, this cable comes featuring a laser-welded connector that allows the cord to hold exterior forces above 15 kilogrammes without breaking off. Topping things assets off is the product's clean, white-grey appearance that fits elegant Apple gadgets to a tee.

All in all, the Syncwire Lightning iPhone Charger Cable is not the most cost-effective product we've reviewed but its advantages more than outweigh the product's flaws.

What Is an iPhone Charger Cable?

You can like Apple products. You can dislike them all you want too. You can even hate them till cows come home but, chances are, these products will still be here even when that happens. The company's devices and gadgets often leave conflicted impressions. Still, we do not see them becoming less common anytime soon. Even the biggest fanboys can admit that the Lighting port that modern-day Apple products adopt can be annoying at times though. But, with the right cable, you can make these ports very docile, hence these iPhone charger cables.

Although the name is pretty suggestive, you can use them with any Apple gadget that has a Lighting port (these include the last 8 iPads and every iPhone that was released in the last 7 years, including iPhone 5.

The portable cables that we have added to this list are usually durable and comfortable, with the "comfort" remark referring to the tangle-free design, the appropriate cord length, and the right connector head (the right connector head usually means the one that you can insert without taking the case off). When these conditions are met, you have selected the right cable.
