Review & Comparison, Last Update December 21, 2018

PROS

The shiatsu massage function incorporates 3 intensity levels. The heating elements are placed across the entire circumference of the device, so it keeps the whole foot warm, from heels to toes. Plus, it heats up in no time at all.

CONS

The massaging function doesn't work that well with feet that're above 10 in size.

OUR VERDICT

The people behind this little appliance went to great lengths to make sure their device could do a bit more than just keep the user's feet warm. It's a bit pricey but the model's performance and the control it gives you makes it one of the best foot warmers on the market right now.

The foot warmer from Mynt may not look the part but what we have here is a powerful appliance that treats your feet about as good as a professional massage therapist. It increases blood flow, helps you relax, and even prevents and combats common foot issues like plantar fasciitis.

OUR VERDICT

Beurer FW20 is a great foot warmer, nothing more and nothing less. It will help people with poor blood circulation. It is great for people who suffer from Raynaud's phenomenon. It can be used to alleviate pain caused by osteoarthritis. And, of course, it is great for anyone who just wants to keep his feet warm.

OUR VERDICT

This Serenity Beauty device will prove a great choice for people who want a massager and a foot warmer but don't have too much money to spare. It can be used for therapeutic purposes. Though it is just as great for soothing cold, tired, or aching feet.

The Turbo-fast heat up technology allows the pad to reach the highest available temperature in less than 10 minutes. The 90-minute automatic shut-off function will help you keep your energy bill to a minimum. The keypad features backlighting, so you'll be able to change the temperature settings in low-light conditions.

CONS

The cotton cover feels like a plastic tablecloth fabric (not very cuddly).

OUR VERDICT

All things considered, Beurer Electronic HK35 won't massage your feet. But you can rely on it to keep any part of your body nice and warm. It doesn't discriminate between foot sizes. It is much more portable and a lot more versatile than most of its competition.

Marnur Foot Massager

Going the Extra Mile

For a foot warmer, this model from Marnur isn't particularly cheap. But that's because it isn't just a foot farmer. Though it will keep your feet warm, the device is more of a foot massager than anything else. And, boy oh boy, does it excel at that.

Equipped with 3 massage modes, this little appliance is capable of performing deep kneading shiatsu, vibrating, and rolling (double compression) massages. On top of that, the shiatsu massage function incorporates 3 intensity levels.

The white light indicates the first setting, which is incidentally the weakest one. The green one is reserved for the medium settings, while the red light indicator is used for the highest setting. Unless you've had plenty of experience with these things, the manufacturers recommend starting with the first setting and slowly working your way up to the strongest one.

Having said that, we did include this device in our review of foot warmers, so it goes without saying that the model also includes a heating function. Turn it on and you'll get a nice relaxing (about 40 degrees Celcius) heat that will keep your soles warm. The function is perfect for increased relaxation, rejuvenation, and just overall stress relief.

The heating elements are placed across the entire circumference of the device, so it keeps the whole foot warm, from heels to toes. Plus, it heats up in no time at all.

In closing, the people behind this little appliance went to great lengths to make sure their device could do a bit more than just keep the user's feet warm. It's a bit pricey but the model's performance makes it easily the best foot warmer in our review.

Mynt Softcover Shiatsu

A Robust Device With a Modest Appearance

The product from Mynt looks like a regular foot warmer, with an appearance that resembles a large slipper more than it does an electric multifunctional device. But the latter is exactly what the product is. Inside this "slipper", there's a shiatsu massage function. The targeted shiatsu massage can be used for deep muscle therapy. It increases blood flow, helps you relax, and even prevents and combats common foot issues like plantar fasciitis.

By the way, it isn't just a foot massager/warmer. The model incorporates a dual-layer design. The hood snuggles your feet. You remove it and you get a versatile massager that you can use on your back or just about any part of your body.

The deep tissue massage is powerful and invigorating but it doesn't make for a particularly quiet operation. Some users find it a tad too loud, while others are perfectly fine with the noise levels, so we can't really tell how comfortable you'll be with it in this regard.

The device is really easy to use. At the right side, you'll find 2 control buttons. One is responsible for the aforementioned massage function, the other turns the heating on and off.

The fleece fabric has a premium appearance. Plus, it is soft, snuggly, and really comfortable. The removable sleeves make it easy to wash this little appliance and keep it clean.

In short, the foot warmer from Mynt may not look the part but what we have here is a powerful appliance that treats your feet about as good as a professional massage therapist, all in the comforts of your own home. It also serves as a nice footrest.

Beurer FW20 Cosy

Keep Your Feet as Warm as You Want

There's a lot to like about Beurer FW20. First, the warmer looks absolutely adorable. Though an electric device, you could easily confuse it for a nice little blanket. And it isn't just the appearance either. The teddy lining is soft and extra fluffy. It will send your feet to cloud nine. Plus, it is machine washable and removable, so you'll easily be able to maintain it. The exterior microfleece fabric is breathable, body-hugging, and skin-friendly.

A few things about this foot warmer separate it from the majority of its competition. First, it will accommodate foot sizes up to 12 UK, meaning it is one of the very few warmers suitable for people with large feet. The particularly long 3-metre cable makes the model really flexible. Unlike most of its counterparts, it won't tie you to a power socket.

Other than that, the product doesn't really present anything we haven't seen before (and that's not a bad thing). The corded control pad gives you 3 illuminated temperature settings, so you'll be able to keep your feet as warm as you want. The detachable controller is really convenient but the warmer itself does take some time to heat up, not a huge issue but you won't be able to turn it on and instantly put it to use.

All in all, Beurer FW20 is a great foot warmer, nothing more and nothing less. It will help people with poor blood circulation. It is great for people who suffer from Raynaud's phenomenon. It can be used to alleviate pain caused by osteoarthritis. And, of course, it is great for anyone who just wants to keep his feet warm.

Serenity Beauty 2 In 1 Function

Soothe Your Feet

This Serenity Beauty warmer is easily one of the most impressive options on the market today as far as the price-performance ratio is concerned. It is one of the very few devices that combine the massage and heating functions and will cost you less than 20 pounds. Of course, it has its flaws. For one, it doesn't include an automatic shut-off feature that people have come to expect out of these devices. But, again, considering the price tag that the product comes with, its downside or two holds very little significance.

Equipped with a couple of powerful yet surprisingly gentle massage motors, this cosy little appliance promotes blood flow and rejuvenates your feet. Not dissimilar to its more expensive counterparts, the model features 2 different massage intensity settings, so there is some room for customisation as well. Speaking of which, it also includes 2 heat settings. Plus, you can use the heating function separately from the massage function.

All of these functions are available via a wired control pad that has a cord that's separate from the socket, making it particularly practical and ergonomic. Despite the modest price, the exterior is made of 100% suede, giving it sort of a luxury feeling. The removable fleece lining is soft and machine washable.

To rephrase our earlier point, this Serenity Beauty device will prove a great choice for people who want a massager and a foot warmer but don't have too much money to spare. It can be used for therapeutic purposes. Though it is just as great for soothing cold, tired, or aching feet.

Beurer Electronic HK35

A Different Option

Beurer Electronic HK35 takes a slightly different approach. Whereas every other model in this review features sort of a slipper-like appearance, the product in question presents a simple heat pad. As you would imagine, this makes the foot warmer, in many regards, a lot more practical. It doesn't discriminate between foot sizes. It is much more portable than most of its competition.

The pad is also quite a bit more versatile than just about any other foot warmer/massager. You can put it on your shoulders, behind your back, on your stomach, or anywhere you feel comfortable. You can bring it to the office. It's great for bed use. It can help you solve your sleeping issues.

On top of that, it is just as good at keeping your feet warm. The model features 3 heat settings, giving you a choice of heat intensity levels between 50 and 75 degrees Celcius. The company's Turbo-fast heat up technology allows the pad to reach the highest available temperature in less than 10 minutes. Thanks to this technology, you'll start feeling the pad's warmth after just a couple of minutes of use.

Despite its ability to reach a fairly hot state of 75 degrees Celcius, the model poses no fire hazard thanks to the BSS™ overheating protection system. There's a 90-minute automatic shut-off function that will help you keep your energy bill to a minimum. The keypad features backlighting, so you'll be able to effortlessly change the temperature settings in low-light conditions.

All things considered, Beurer Electronic HK35 won't massage your feet. But you can rely on it to keep any part of your body nice and warm.

What Is a Foot Warmer?

You'd think that a foot warmer is a fairly self-explanatory contrivance and it would be mostly redundant to describe it. But that first inclination would be a tad misguided. Sure, there are foot warmers out there that consist of nothing but a simple rug for your feet. And there's nothing wrong with that. Keeping your feet warm is extremely important for your health and overall well-being, so any way you achieve that goal is fine in our book. But there are also plenty of warmers that add up to quite a bit more than that. In fact, a large chunk of foot warmers happen to be surprisingly intricate electric devices.

Most of these devices include different heating settings. Of course, with heating settings come fire hazards, so some sort of an overheating protection is often present as well. Some warmers aren't just warmers. In addition to their heating capabilities, these devices also incorporate massage functions. More often than not, you get different massage modes too, so you should be able to customise your experience the way you see fit. To control these functions, foot warmers usually feature a control keypad. Other than the heating and massage settings, certain models come equipped with different extra features like an automatic shut-off function or different removable parts.
