- The build quality is superb. It's compact and made from quite a robust composite plastic which has a nice grippy feel to it.
- Material makes the camera very light and comfortable to hold.
- This little gem turns out to be just ideal, it is very light and compact and matched up with either L lenses.
- Great beginner camera. Very compact, easy to use and to carry, great picture quality.
- Very light and easy to hold and buttons all feel quality. Would highly recommend.
- As soon as you pick up this camera the first thing you will realise is that it is so lightweight and compact.
- The camera is more compact than our other camera with an amazing picture quality it is also easy to learn the different functions that the camera has on it.
- I do a lot of walking and have lugged about heavy, professional Nikon full frame dslr's. I needed a lighter, more compact camera and this model fits the bill perfectly.
- Having said that, this camera, although very light, feels extremely well made and was an absolute bargain.
- It's probably your best choice if you are just starting into photography and want to travel around since it's lightweight and very decent battery life.
- Out of the box it performs very well and super happy with the results of still and moving image, especially impressed with low light performance.
- I get very little discernible noise at 6400 ISO, and literally none at 3200 ISO.
- Color is excellent on video. I seldom shoot above 3200 ISO so noise is well controlled. Mostly around 200 to 800 ISO is really where I like to be.
- At high ISO, a loud and unpleasant sound appears. Very disappointed.
- Face detection does not always work, which is sometimes annoying because you have to wait until it detection the face.
- The picture quality easily matches that of my 'professional' cameras.
- The kit lens performed admirably taking landscapes and low-light, long exposure images of the Northern Lights. An excellent camera to start with.
- What impressed me the most was the image quality and the lightining fast focus. Excellent.
- I have been using this camera for a couple of days now and I'm very impressed with its image quality.
- This camera has shown me how I've been missing out with the quality of amazing images.
- The 200D handles well and the touch screen makes up for the lack of familiar joystick and dedicated buttons.
- The focus points within the viewfinder and limiting and restricting the touch screen focussing is superb and flexible.
- The touch screen is such a great upgrade for me, especially with the flexibility to move it & flip it right round for “selfie” mode.
- Love this camera for getting back into photography, it's manly touch screen controlled that I don't like much happier with wheels to control the camera settings.
- I was also missing the buttons you get on standard canon like white balance and picture style, but as i realized later you can you can access them on touch screen via quick menu button.
- It is a fixed screen, not tiltable, and not a touch-screen. The display mode is selected by a convenient lever switch right next to the modes dial.
- The D3500 lacks an articulating LCD and touch screen controls which make photography so much easier and enjoyable.
- The 3" screen is big and clear with good resolution, highly recommended!
- What I dont like like about this this camera are the lack of focus points and tiltable touch screen.
- Downsides are no touch screen, no wifi, and no plug for a remote trigger.
- The sensor can give great pictures at hi ISO. Then you can use faster shutter speed. This means much sharper pictures ,since the faster the shutter speed, the sharper the picture.
- The on screen guide is great for beginners to get your head around all the different modes/options, very easy to use for anyone with a basic understanding.
- Love the manual mode, love the screen that flips out so I can see myself when recording.
- The Feature Assistant. Using the dial to switch to different modes will show a basic screen on the LCD showing how different setting affect the outcome of your picture.
- The shutter creates a lot of noise, which prevents me from taking photos in public places.
- The d3500 feels very comfortable to hold with the rubberised grip but feels also quite solid.
- This camera is really easy to use and I did find that the button placement is simple but very effective if you want to change your settings quickly.
- There are plenty of different modes to go in depending on what situation you want to capture but manual mode is where you can maximise the potential and get the outcome you really want.
- The menu interface is simple, not cluttered and includes a handy setup guide to get you acquainted with the camera its self.
- First thing that struck me was the nice build quality, the grip is comfortable and ergonomic, the menu is easy to follow.
- Nice direct wireless interface to ipad and smart phone for viewing or download or even to take pictures remotely.
- Connects to smart TV via cable for high res large display.
- Very simple to connect to one device such as an iPhone to transfer photos but cannot get camera to connect with a second device.
- Wi-Fi & NFC allows you to quickly pair it up to your smart phone to transfer photos wirelessly without having to connect it to a computer.
- You must constantly keep the phone near the camera for a good connection, because if you remove the phone, the connection will be lost immediately.
- The camera comes with the battery charger, carrying strap, and has a standard SD slot instead of micro SD slot.
- I have a Samsung phone and was able to download the Nikon app and transfer pics to it without any wires or taking out the SD card.
- It has a SD slot for images, hdmi and usb for data transfer, so Bluetooth really shouldn’t be used as it is painfully long.
- The D3500 comes with nice features such as a variety of special effects and wireless connection.
- You can use the app to take photos. I had no problem connecting and downloading photos to my Android phone.
