What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Canon EOS 2000D DSLR Camera Body - Black
  • For the extra money it is definitely worth the extra features and weight reduction.
  • This is my second SLR -I sold my first one last year and bought a compact as it was too heavy to carry around and too complex for me. This is just perfect.
  • Camera is a nice weight, not to heavy but also not too light! Battery life seems really good, took hundreds of shots so far and battery bar still showing as full!
  • The downsides - this camera is larger than compacts, and it takes more thinking about when you take it out.
  • This is relatively small for DSLR's and sometimes I felt it was a little small for my hands. Most of the time its fine. Best thing to do is to go and try before you buy.
Canon EOS 4000D DSLR Camera and EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 III Lens - Black
  • Camera is a nice weight, not to heavy but also not too light! Battery life seems really good, took hundreds of shots so far and battery bar still showing as full!
  • It is a great starter camera and ideal purchase for a relative doing GCSE Photography. Light weight, simple functions.
  • The camera body is lightweight but solidly built. I fell in love with this camera.
  • It is light to carry and that is something that I personally like. It feels light in the hands.
  • It was too heavy to carry around and too complex for me.

What customers say about "Imaging"
Canon EOS 2000D DSLR Camera Body - Black
  • Auto focus is fast and accurate, and you don't have any real lag like you do with a camera phone.
  • I've used this to photograph otters, deer and eagles in Scotland with very pleasing results.
  • This is an excellent entry level DSLR camera and perfect for anyone wanting to take their first step into more creative photography.
  • You get the picture you want, especially when photographing wildlife. Recommended!
  • I’m new to this this camera game only had this a few days and the picture quality is really good so far takes a bit of getting use to with all the settings, But so far so good.
Canon EOS 4000D DSLR Camera and EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 III Lens - Black
  • It’s quick and surprisingly responsive! Autofocus is good for something of this price point. ISO is quite high, this is vital for low light shooting.
  • Despite the 18MP sensor, I did find the image quality was pretty good, definitely a step up from smartphones! This comes down to the sensor size more than anything though.
  • Amazing picture quality, easy to use, great low light photos as well as long exposures, would highly recommend and great value for money.
  • Even when the sensitivity is cranked up to ISO 6400 noise doesn’t spoil the image. It’s there and visible on close inspection but it doesn’t drag the image down.
  • Sluggish autofocus and burst rate which was very disappointing. Because I mainly use this feature.

What customers say about "Display"
Canon EOS 2000D DSLR Camera Body - Black
  • I opted for the 2000D over the 4000D because it has 24.1 megapixels as opposed to 18, and a larger LCD screen (3.0 as opposed to 2.7).
  • The photo quality , big screen and easy to read menus make up for this, well worth the price tag.
  • Amazing camera, big and bright screen, lightweight and comfortable to use.
  • My camera worked brilliantly for the first month. It has great quality. However I had to return it because my screen would juse crash and freeze, and then the camera would shut down.
  • Great camera!! Just wish it was able to connect to a microphone and the screen could flip to the side as well!
Canon EOS 4000D DSLR Camera and EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 III Lens - Black
  • The viewing angles of the display make it possible to shoot with arms extended above the head and from the ground level - the image on the display is visible at any comfortable angle.
  • A great little screen that allows me to see the photos taken and leave the ones I need.
  • Low-resolution LCD display is horribly cramped. And also there is no way to rotate it.
  • Its autofocus is limited and slow, the screen is fuzzy and lacks touch controls, the burst rate is sluggish.
  • A screen with this kind of specification looks pretty poor in modern terms, and in fact it can be difficult to know whether or not your photos are any good just from looking at it.

What customers say about "Features"
Canon EOS 2000D DSLR Camera Body - Black
  • The camera is really easy to use. Leave it in auto mode and its pretty much a point and shoot.
  • It's really easy to start experimenting with the manual controls. Manual control over the shutter speed for example allows you to slow the shutter to give a smooth flow with a waterfall for example.
  • The lens mounting ring is metal, rather than plastic on 4000D, so I figured it would be a wee more robust.
  • The mode dial is easy to use and each is explained on the digital screen when you select it.
  • Great for beginners, easy to use pick up klikaway manual modes dead easy better than Auto, not very heavy, great grip.
Canon EOS 4000D DSLR Camera and EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 III Lens - Black
  • You have access to all of Canons lenses. This is a big selling point as Canons lenses are usually very sharp.
  • It has a lot of functions that are of a good starting point for absolute beginners coming into DSLR photography.
  • Canon always does a decent job of balancing colours and whether you’re shooting inside in relatively dank conditions or you’re out in the bright sunlight, the photos are vibrant.
  • The build quality is quite poor. It feels very plastic and not very robust, but it does feel comfortable!
  • There’s no pop up flash instead you manually lift it up when required. This feels flimsy and not the best when it comes to long term durability.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
Canon EOS 2000D DSLR Camera Body - Black
  • The WiFi connection to your phone makes posting photos online very easy.
  • This camera has all the modern technologies from the wifi to remote control with your smartphone.
  • The wifi makes it so easy to download photos to your phone or computer and also to take self portrait shots.
  • Camera won’t recognise any sd cards and i’m not in a position where i can return it right now, missing out on once in a lifetime photos.
  • Unfortunately Android devices will not store RAW images sent over WiFi, and they are converted into jpgs.
Canon EOS 4000D DSLR Camera and EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 III Lens - Black
  • The camera does have Wi-Fi connectivity, plus a Quick Menu, which allows you to easily access commonly used settings.
  • Something I found very useful is you can download an APP to your pad or phone and view and transfer photo’s through this.
  • There are ports for two different cable types for connecting to you computer but this option is easier to use I find.
  • The camera itself broadcasts as Wi-Fi and you connect your device to this and can view photos or control the camera.
  • Canon connect allows you to quickly download to iPhone and iPad. I also use it to remote shoot group pics.
