What customers say about "Key Specs"
Mercer Culinary Millennia 8-Inch Stainless Steel Chef's Knife, Yellow
  • The knife is well balanced and solidly made, Its steel blade is rigid with very little flex.
  • Good quality knife, with a well shaped handle and good length of blade.
  • The blade is made from high carbon, stain-free steel and is all in one piece so it is firm to hold. I really love this kitchen knife and look forward to many hours of happy chopping.
  • The knife cuts very well, only a small comment that bred tend to leave marks on the blade due to the steel material as opposed to ceramic.
  • Very sharp though I did notice the blade dulling after about an hour of use.
Victorinox Fibrox (5.2003.22) Straight Edge Carving Knife with 22 cm Blade
  • I spent a lot of time looking around at articles and reviews and for an all-round general purpose kitchen knife you won't find better at this price range. Highly recommended.
  • The blade is deeper than most chef knives, allowing for a more natural cutting position, and less strain on your wrists.
  • The blade has a very smooth polished finish that helps you glide through food easily.
  • You get full use of the blade because it does not have a bolster.
  • Lovely sharp smooth edge, allows nice rolling action for dicing/chopping.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Mercer Culinary Millennia 8-Inch Stainless Steel Chef's Knife, Yellow
  • A light knife that does the job, well weighted and good value.
  • Nice chefs knife, sharp and has a decent weight to it for cutting thick or larger items.
  • Lovely knife, not expensive but certainly feels expensive, easy to hold, blade feels a good weight, and it’s very sharp, highly recommended.
  • Solidly made with a good weight and nice edge. Out of the box, this is surprisingly sharp, so watch your fingers.
  • A great knife! Perfect weight for general purpose, and exceptional value.
Victorinox Fibrox (5.2003.22) Straight Edge Carving Knife with 22 cm Blade
  • The knife is a little on the light side, which I think is good, because maneuvering is less exhausting.
  • 8,5 inch blade is a good size for most applications in a professional kitchen, some people like their main knife to be a bit longer, but I found this one a perfect size.
  • It has stayed sharp after many uses, it's light and very pleasant to use.
  • I use it on daily basis as an universal do-all knife and find it very ergonomic, lightweight and just the right size and blade profile for all uses.
  • A very light knife, a bit light-ish for my taste, but it's a personal preference.

What customers say about "Features"
Mercer Culinary Millennia 8-Inch Stainless Steel Chef's Knife, Yellow
  • The handle has a lovely grip and is made of rubbery material so that it doesn't slip, even when your hands are wet.
  • Rubber handle is lovely and grippable, both grip and blade wipe clean, no dramas.
  • Great handle and good balance for tricky maneuvers. Plastic black handle easy and comfy to hold.
  • The rubberised handle is ergonomic and great to hold and grip, although its doesn't look as fancy as a wooden or resin handle.
  • The blade itself is perfect, but, the handle is way too chunky, making it awkward to hold.
Victorinox Fibrox (5.2003.22) Straight Edge Carving Knife with 22 cm Blade
  • Very sharp and ergonomic knife. I've already cut my fingers and it wasn't for the purpose of this review.
  • The plastic fibrox handle has an excellent medium sized grip (good for small or big hands) that is very sanitary.
  • Great shape, comfortable to use in a busy kitchen, very happy with the purchase.
  • The handle won't win a beauty award but it is non-slip and very functional, won't split, and is probably indestructible unless left on direct heat.
  • This is a fine extremely sharp good value knife with a great blade but the textured plastic handle.
