What customers say about "Key Specs"
JayBird X3
  • Excellent sound quality with use of the free downloadable app. Very easy to use.
  • From an audio quality point of view, I was initially disappointed with the flat sound, until I read the manual and realised there is an EQ app available that lets you configure the sounds as you prefer.
  • Headphones are great at first, with good sound quality, and they’re quite comfortable.
  • The sound is great, not just for wireless headphones but just generally. It definitely competes with my momentum 2.0s
  • The sound is average, not really detailed but it's loud and the dedicated app with the equalizer helps but still it's nothing impressive. Cheaper Bluetooth headsets have the same sound.
JayBird RUN Wireless Headphones for Running
  • They manage to cover an insanely large frequency range, I don't know how, the laws of physics are being stretched for sure.
  • The battery life has been good and they haven’t gone flat on me when I’ve been using them.
  • Battery life of the earphones is 4 hours - but the charging case holds another 8 hours of charge - just insert the earphones into the case for them to charge.
  • Battery life is only 4 hours. OK for running, this is probably OK and the charging in a box is neat but if you want to use them for anything else, forget it.
  • Connectivity is a frequently dodgy and the battery life is poor. Great for the gym and short runs, and even day to day use, but not for distance running.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
JayBird X3
  • I'm still having great problem with the fitting, I've tried the different sizes and materials of the tips and fins but still I have to constantly adjust them during a simple treadmill run.
  • Comes with a number of different ear bud sizes so you should be able to find one that suits.
  • The ear tips and fins come with different sizes so you can find the right fit.
  • This did not happen with my other bluetooth headphones (much more expensive and full-size).
  • If you try two three combinations then you will not have any problem with any ear size .
JayBird RUN Wireless Headphones for Running
  • The buds are lightweight with a semi premium look & feel, with the front click button.
  • Their presentation is good, housed in a smallish pill shape charging case that feels sturdy and secure and small enough to fit in a pocket.
  • They are reasonably small and the software for settings puts you in control.
  • These are very good, and are small enough not to make you a bit weird. Very impressed.
  • Small wireless earbuds that are comfortable to wear, can be recharged via the case, and produce good sound.

What customers say about "Features"
JayBird X3
  • Lots of features available through the app (you can swap Left and Right channels) as well as customize EQ settings.
  • Something that I didn't even bother checking in the specs is the absence of aptx protocol, haven't decided if it's a good or bad thing yet but it's a feature that is standard in so many other rival headsets. Will have to get back to you.
  • Wireless and sweat proof were two key features I was after, and these are great for that. But the sound lacks any real presence. The earphones I got with my old Xperia Z1 were SIGNIFICANTLY better than these.
  • There is no firmware update for the buds and based on the forums I have viewed they don't plan on changing this feature anytime soon.
  • Life span, foam tips wear quickly (a common feature of foam-tips really, but worth having, Amazon sell a brand called Misodiko that I found better than the ones that came with the X3's)
JayBird RUN Wireless Headphones for Running
  • There is an ios and android app that needs to be downloaded and installed on your mobile phone - this allows you to tweak/tune the frequency response of the buds in the firmware.
  • The buds are supplied with a range of fins and tips to ensure a good fit when moving and to optimise the range of frequencies, bass level and isolation from external noises.
  • These ear buds a truly wireless in that they simply pop in your ears without any sort of wire or flex to bother about. Great for walking and running.
  • The small box that holds the earbuds when not in use doubles as a charger and means you can carry them safely in your pocket or elsewhere getting charged while protected.
  • The connectivity seems good, no issues as of yet. I walked around 30ft away from the phone and still had good connection.

What customers say about "Power"
JayBird X3
  • The battery life is very good though, can listen to music for hours without need to charge it and the microphone for phone calls is good. I haven't had any problem during a call and the other caller could clearly hear me.
  • Battery life is great and comes with a handy little bag to store the small USB charger adaptor so very easy to charge where ever a USB connection is available.
  • Good battery life almost 8 to 9 hours of listening to music.
  • The only potential negative is the battery life. My other bluetooth headphones last around 15 hours. These only last around 6-8.
  • The battery life is not great, the charging clip SUCKS, and you can’t buy a replacement. Oh yes they are kind of sweat proof too.
JayBird RUN Wireless Headphones for Running
  • I've never ran out of charge, especially with the fact that the case charges them pretty fast once you place them inside.
  • The charging capsule is a neat idea, basically the ear buds fit inside this and the capsule connects to the charger.
  • They come in a nice pill-shaped case that serves as a charging unit as well. This clips satisfyingly shut and charges them pretty quickly.
  • They come with a charger box and you charge them via a USB source. From new they took 2 hours to charge and this gave me around 5 hours of music at medium volumes.
  • I like the charging case and find it a handy way to keep the earbuds safe, clean and charged.
