What customers say about "Key Specs"
Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Esprit Sb
  • Replacing a Rega P1, very easy to set up, the sound quality is superb
  • The ability to select 33 1/3 or 45 rpm with the press of a button is much more convenient than the Carbon Debut model which requires removing the platter and moving the belt to change speeds.
  • It also comes with a belt and larger pulley is built in to play 78s
  • The platter without the belt had zero friction. The tone arm quality exceeded my expectations.
  • No, there is no hum, motor noise, buzzing or any other annoying audible defects that have plagued earlier Pro-Ject turntables or the entry level decks.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Esprit Sb
  • The build quality, construction, and finish are flawless with the Debut Carbon Esprit
  • The acrylic platter's other major goal is to eliminate static or electrical charge from records. It does. No startling electrical static shock.
  • All parts are well put together with no ill-fitting errors for motor, tonearm, sub-platter hub and bearing spindle, etc.
  • The carbon constructed tonearm on the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Esprit is light, but rigid for less resonance and cleaner, detailed sound and bass over the regular aluminum arm.
  • The acrylic platter is excellently balanced and is of very substantial weight(no wobble or warpage whatsoever).

What customers say about "Audio"
Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Esprit Sb
  • I'm loving my new turntable and and every day I look forward to listening to my records and immerse in the magic of the analogue sound.
  • The best turntable I've ever owned. I was using a DJ turntable before this, and I didn't realise I was sacrificing audio quality for the tricks you can do.
  • Sound quality is better in my opinion. Anyway I wholly recommend this deck.
  • When I plugged this into a pre-amp and speakers the quality of the sound completely blew me away - this is what I've been missing with vinyl.
  • It is a dream audiophile turntable and a joy to use and listen to.

What customers say about "Features"
Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Esprit Sb
  • I have used and liked the Ortofon 2M red in a AR turntable but here is superb, lively but not over bright and retrieving a lot of detail I have not heard before.
  • As for the quality of the sound and performance, the red Ortofon 2m cartridge which comes pre-fitted to this turntable does not disappoint.
  • After about 30 mins to set up I tried a variety of vinyl and have to say I'm really impressed and glad I've made the swap.
  • No, there is no hum, motor noise, buzzing or any other annoying audible defects that have plagued earlier Pro-Ject turntables or the entry level decks.
  • Open, airy, detailed, awesome stereo imaging and immersive stage wideness and depth when compared to a Technics, JVC, and even some Denons I have owned
